Who we are

Géosciences Conseil - Catura Geoprojects was founded  Beate Orberger in 2017.

She has over 30 years of experience in academia, the mining and metallurgy industries, with an in-depth knowledge and know-how in geosciences, economic geology, geometallurgy, corporate governance and ESG strategies.

As an expert and university professor, she coordinates and evaluates transdisciplinary international projects in the Raw Material sector (EIT Raw Materials, in the knowledge triangle: industry – research – education). She creates synergies thanks to her national and international professional network.

Since 2020 she is engaged in the valorization of critical metals (Scandium, Vanadium, Gallium, Magnesium) from metallurgical residues needed for the energy transition. Furthermore, she co-manages the DysCovery project on End-of-Life Permanent Magnet recycling.
